In terms of our sustainability ambitions and work, last year made it even more clear that sustainability is one of our core pillars. Much of our sustainability-related work was carried out as planned despite that the pandemic affected our daily life and other parts of the business. We managed to complete some long-lasting projects such as recycling leftover denim fabrics and turning them into eco-friendly bags. A campaign called )take a ride on the green side) has been launched Where Palestine is one of the most developing countries consuming plastic, and from here we reduce consumption by using environmentally friendly bags. We have cooperated with 30 places of supermarkets, shops or pharmacies in various governorates and put booths to buy the bag at a symbolic price.
We care a lot about taking responsibility for the manufacture of our clothing. Therefore, we find it equally important to take care of how our products are packaged and distributed to customers. There are no plastic shopping bags in our physical stores and all bags and gift boxes used in our repair shops are made from recycled paper and cardboard. The products ordered from our online store are delivered in high-quality gift cardboard boxes

raghda designs is characterized by timeless design. We want to create timeless and seasonless garments, clothes you want to wear every day and keep over time, garments that last, and garments that can live through repairs. Long before circularity became a buzzword, we focused on longevity and knew that garments you love – you keep. We believe that denim is a material that grows more beautiful with time. Starting with a pair of dry denim and wearing them every day will produce the most beautiful and personal wear and tear and the jeans will tell the story of the life you spent wearing them.
94% of all the fibers used in our garments is cotton and we are proud to say that we only work with Organic, Fairtrade or Recycled cotton, as the largest environmental impact of our products is from growing the raw material. The first goal was reached in 2012 when all our denim was made in organic cotton and the journey has continued since. In 2021, we reached the same goal for the rest of our product groups.
A Custom Approach
It wasn’t easy, but after countless hours of research and way too much coffee, we imported the original cotton canvas. We knew we needed something durable yet breathable that this type of fabric could provide.
Among the reasons that prompted us to establish a production line for jeans:
· We’ve all been there before, find jeans that fit you well but then are limited in colors or patterns or low quality or even worse.
· It is difficult to get high quality jeans from many brands because they are not available in Palestine.
· Palestine’s dependence on imports from foreign countries.
· Blocking thousands of factories and stitches in Palestine.
· Fashion design in Palestine needs great support and promotion.
· Lack of awareness of people about environmentally friendly clothes.
